The Mirror and the sea Transmutation with Carly Jo Carson & Annie Parr
January 20-24, 2027
El Campo | Baja California Sur, Mexico
Join Carly Jo and Annie
Please join us for a 4 night, 5 day immersive journey to examine the alchemy of experience. Through modern day rituals, we explore the waves of life, and connect with the beauty of the inevitable cycles of expansion and contraction. The intersection of Shift and The Mirror allows access to a deeper embodied listening. Through breathwork, we drop inward to access symbols and messages of the psyche to help connect the dots and make meaning of what’s showing up in our lives. Through somatic movement we tune into the wisdom of the body, release stagnant energy, and find creative expression for what is awakening within.
ABOUT CARLY JO
Carly Jo is an artist, mother, and journey designer based in Topanga Canyon, CA. The Mirror is her ever-evolving improvisational practice that weaves breath, sonic medicine, and the wisdom of the group into a living mirror, revealing who we are and how our gifts serve the greater fabric of existence. Her heavily layered original soundtracks invoke healing, transformation, and remembrance — offering a pathway for people to awaken the heart, ignite creativity and purpose, and connect with the divine without any external substances.
ABOUT ANNIE
Annie’s work is a powerful entry point into the body. She is a lifelong dancer, teacher, and choreographer known for her integrative approach to movement and mindfulness. Her movement practice blends somatic awareness, strength, rhythm, and emotional release. It centers presence over performance or perfection. Through guided sequences, music, and intuitive exploration, she creates a space where the body becomes a site of truth, expression, and freedom. People often find themselves moving through stuck energy, reconnecting to instinct, and returning to a more honest relationship with themselves.

KIND WORDS
Spending time at El Campo with Annie Parr was nothing short of transformative. The space itself is a sanctuary—intentionally designed, rooted in nature, and humming with creative energy. But it’s Annie’s presence that truly sets it apart. Her mastery of movement and deep intuitive wisdom created a container for both expansion and restoration. I arrived seeking space to breathe; I left with a sense of alignment I didn’t know I was missing. El Campo isn’t just a retreat space—it’s a return to self.
-Nicole Oge
The movement practice built on itself and centered the whole experience. I left feeling fully reset, inspired and whole and I hope to return on an annual basis. I can't recommend it more highly!
- Lisa Lombardi
Annie’s movement vocabulary was gentle, awakening, and challenging in the best ways. Her classes got into all the nooks and crannies of where my body had been stagnant and neglected for so long. It was eye opening. It really was the new beginning I needed to assist my body to heal and trust movement as the way through. She also did an incredible job of facilitating connection with the other participants who were strangers to me. It was fun, joyful, and connective.
- Rande Dorn
Waking up to the beauty of El Campo and starting the day with one of Annie’s classes was pure magic. As someone who doesn’t consider themselves a dancer, I felt totally at ease—and even in love—with the mix of movement, meditation, dance, and whatever other Annie alchemy is happening. Her classes create a real shift in body, mind, and spirit. And the music? Truly next level. It’s an experience that stays with you long after it ends.
- Robyn Shapiro
Annie is an incredible host and one of the best movement practitioners I've ever worked with. Her classes truly light people up and shift their energy immediately.
